13 Industries Will Be Revolutionized By Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have a rapidly growing presence in the world today, with applications ranging from heavy industry to education. From streamlining operations to informing better decision making, it becomes clear that this technology has the potential to truly revolutionize the way the world works every day.

While AI and ML can be applied to almost every sector, once the technology is sufficiently advanced, there are many fields that can reap the benefits of AI now or what will happen soon. According to a panel of members of the Forbes Technology Board, here are 13 industries that will soon be revolutionized by AI.

1.Cybersecurity:

The surface of the company’s attack was very large. There are countless permutations and combinations where enemies can enter. It is very difficult for organizations to analyze and improve their security posture. With its power to bring complex reasoning and self-learning by automated means on a large scale, AI will be a game changer in the way we increase the resilience of our virtual world.

2.DevOps and Cloud Hosting:

AI started making a sign at DevOps. At present, Amazon has launched machine learning for their Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) machines, which applies to autoscaling predictive instances. Other cloud vendors are following similar technologies. In the next 10 years, I see the same thing being applied to bigger things such as code dissemination and infrastructure provision.

3.Manufacturing:

Artificial intelligence in the world of manufacturing has unlimited potential. From preventive maintenance to human task automation, AI will enable more efficient jobs that are more prone to errors and have higher quality. Initiatives from technology giants such as Microsoft (AI for Accessibility) and leading small companies such as AtBot will revolutionize AI for all information workers.

4.Health Care:

Health services just started their AI journey. The computer vision against X-rays shows promise to help show disease; neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) shows promise in drug safety; ML shows promise to find patterns in a population. After we reach the point of true information interoperability, supporting the safe exchange of health data, all these promises will join forces to become a breakthrough for patients.

5.Construction:

The construction industry has long been served by the technology and software sector. Many new startups like us use AI in a big way to take the construction industry to tomorrow. Bringing AI and machine learning into this industry will make the construction process faster, safer and more cost-effective by better reducing human errors and utilizing big data.

6.Senior Care:

With the Baby Boomer generation getting older, we need solutions that provide sustainable efficiency for seniors to make them feel more confident about living alone or receiving support from their caregivers. Although AI may not be able to understand the cultural, physical and emotional needs of people, AI can provide updates to many outdated resources.

7.Retail:

The retail industry will be one of the most affected by AI. Its global expenditure is expected to grow to $ 7.3 billion per year by 2022. Retailers will use augmented reality and virtual functionality in advertisements. Visualization of the immersive product catalogue will grow dramatically, and buyers will experience the product before buying. It is estimated that by 2020, chatbots will power 85% of all customer service interactions.

8.Business Intelligence:

Companies are overwhelmed by the volume of data generated by their customers, tools and processes. They found traditional business intelligence tools failed. Spreadsheets and dashboards will be replaced by AI-powered tools that explore data, find insights, and make recommendations automatically. These tools will change the way companies use data and make decisions.

9.Urban Planning:

Infrastructure planning and development will get a big boost from AI. So much data can be processed and organized to help understand urban areas and how they change. AI data can also provide different ways of looking at growth and development, use of utilities, security, and more.

10.Mental Health Diagnosis and Treatment:

We began to see an increase in mental health problems among young people. Whether it’s addiction or withdrawal of devices from the physical world, some begin to isolate themselves online. This, in turn, can cause a disruption of social cohesion. I see the potential in using AI to identify people at risk and recommend therapy before they fall into a pit of depression and despair.

11.Education:

The basic concept of education does not change much across generations, and it is very clear that change is needed. The most urgent question is what changes should be and how to achieve them. Using AI to create a personalized, dynamic and effective learning path for any subject can prove to be a tremendous driver for such a revolution.

12.Mode:

Using AI to learn about buying user patterns around the world and predicting fashion trends will be a good implementation. Having a great recommendation engine that is supported by AI will really help users.

13.Supply Chain Management:

AI can explain more factors and the complexity of nonlinear data dependence and correlates much better than humans can do. AI can predict the future without human bias, but with the right risk assessment, and find optimal decisions even below the asymmetrical cost profile. This leads to improvements in each decision.
