It is much more thing to be believed that at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, there were three distinct waves of the Artificial Intelligence technological part of development. The first segment was an attempt to create some of the general intelligence with the help of the formal rules of logical thinking. The second was the development of the expert systems.

As of now, we are on the crest of the third part of the wave, the main feature of which, most of the computer learning, is already much more successful in helping the AI bypass top experience and professional experts in the effectiveness and quality of decision making on a wide range of scale.

What can humans do better than computers, in this researcher have learned how to create a system that improves the algorithms themselves and then receives new data. This invention has created a new industry.

The introduction of the Artificial Intelligence of AI by the end of 2030 will even help to boost up across the globe GDP by around 15% or about $15.7 trillion, according to the report revealed by PwC. They also note that this is more than the current total industrial output of India and China combined.

According to the story of a study by the Teradata, the full range of the majority of large companies are investing in the AI technologies, and according to the forecasts from Gartner, by the end of the year 2020, they will be present in almost all the new software products and services.

Searching the web faster.

Well, it is known that artificial intelligence can give better outcomes than the web’s biological creators. For example, RankBrain is an artificial intelligence that helps and works with the most difficult, weird, and tough web queries that are asked to Google’s search engine. It analyses the meaning of words and phrases, hence predicts as to what should be to the top-ranking pages in never-seen-before searches. After a test, it was seen that humans could guess 70% of the time, while RankBrain’s success rate was 80%.

Environments

Well, one commendable thing about artificial intelligence is its ability to adapt and work efficiently in the most adverse situations. Be it outer space or deep oceanic areas. It has improved in various aspects, now making it have the ability to take human-like decisions in such conditions.

Translating

There is no doubt that humans are great linguists, considering they were the originators of the whole phenomenon. But, with the advancement of artificial intelligence, and is catching up quickly in the translation business. For example, google translate can translate anything into 27 different languages within a fraction of safe seconds. Another great example to look at is skype, wherein, a neural network technology that interprets the human brain to analyze human speech and instantly translates from English to Spanish. Also, at Microsoft, they are beta testing the method with a view to expanding it in any language, therefore give a face-to-face communication between humans with no knowledge of each other’s language.

What can robots do that human cannot, this is where most of the researchers have found that AI can be even more helpful when the audio quality is better, according to the Microsoft research, where researchers have been tweaking an AI-based automated speech recognition system so that it helps to perform as well as, better than, people.

Microsoft system now has an error rate of 6% on one test set from the records of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the same as a service which is as of now employing human transcribers that Microsoft hired, and 12% on another test, beating the humans, who scored 12%.

That is one situation where being the better than a human might not be much more sufficient: If you thought you could even dictate your next memo, you might find it quicker to type and also correct it yourself, even with just two fingers.

Medical Diagnosis

Ever since the achievements of artificial intelligence has been looking good, a focus area for their usage has been in medical diagnosis. Especially in the field of oncology and diagnosis of cancer. It is a challenging task to have an absolutely accurate diagnosis for humans practically.

When tested, the delivery of results by humans came up to the correctness of 50 percent whereas, for artificial intelligence, it was 90 percent.

Humans better than AI, after that victory, Watson went to the medical school, absorbing around 16 million pages of medical academic papers and textbooks about the oncology. According to the report, that has even allowed the Watson to diagnose cancer cases that stumped human doctors, via IBM, pitches the AI, as an aid to the human diagnosis, not a replacement for it.

More recently, IBM has put Watson’s ability to absorb the enormous volumes of information to work helping rare diagnosis illness, some of which most of the doctors might see only a few cases in a lifetime.

Robots are better than human, as according to the doctors in the Centered for Undiagnosed and rare disease at University Hospital Marburg in Germany, that will even use this instance of Watson to help them deal with the lots of patients that are referred to them each year, some of them bringing thousands of pages of medical records to be analyzed.

According to the authors which includes Ray and Vernor have postulated that how are robots helpful to humans as AI technology will develop to a point, still many years off, that they keep calling it” the singularity,” when the combined problem-solving capacity of the human race will be overtaken by that AI.

Entertainment

Well, the artificial intelligence surely knows how to beat us at our own game, pun intended. They have a great understanding of how about virtual gaming. There have been instances where they have beaten us at our own records.

Gone are the days when we used to need the visual effects to be good at the painting backdrops; the entertainment industry now even demands data science specialists who are much more good at the training deep learning algorithms to perform the routine tasks, like the manually smoothing out an effect or even making it a digital character look realistic. This saves the creative artists working in the industry to spend less time editing frame by frame computer graphics.

Some of a few years back computers making it easy for creative professionals, as animations could design and paint some of the characters and make them talk. Today is the age of the Artificial Intelligence algorithms that can automatically render advanced visual effects, which makes it much easier for the actors to play their alter creatures, egos, characters. It is a credit AI and some other sophisticated software which turned the Josh Brolin into the Thanos for the Avengers: Infinity War. How did they actually do it? They used an Artificial Intelligence algorithm trained on high-resolution scans of the Brolin’s face as inputs to track his expressions to minute the wrinkles, some another algorithm was even deployed automatically the map which results in the facial expressions onto the Thanos body before animators went on to make some of the finishing touches. Futuristic in not in it?

HealthCare

It analyses the data of a patient like their age, ethnicity, and gender. It helps in gaining a better overview of the treatment. It has outperformed traditional ways of predicting death.

What robots can do and cannot do, it is a statement which is making an extensive discussion into the industry, ever since that day in 2011 when it beat the human champions of Jeopardy! IBM Watson has been the diagnosis of cancer. For human physicians, the challenge of making the correct diagnosis is much more massive. It is even estimated that in order to be at the top of medical knowledge, human doctors must spend around 200 hours per week by reading new research papers.

IBM Watson AI does not that at a fraction of the time. On top of this, it even has the ability to search through the millions of patient records, learn from the previous diagnosis, and also improve the reasoning links between the diagnosis and symptoms. The result of the IBM Watson accuracy rate for lung cancer is around 92% as compared to a mere 50% of human physicians.

And yet, although AI has even conquered many of the high castles of the human intellect, it is still much more limited because it lacks our ability for general reasoning. What can humans do better than AI, but there is not a single AI that can do all. “General Intelligence” remains the Holy Grail for the purpose of AI research. Once achieved, we will have even arrived at the beginning of a brilliant mechanical mind.

DeepMind seminal paper last year in Nature demonstrated how could Artificial Intelligence even develop the general intelligence, in the example which is presented in the paper with a deep learning algorithm was able to play many of the different Atari games by reasoning from the first principles. So, watch that space in the coming two to five years, as researchers build on the top of the Deep Q Networks algorithm, and AI enters a new phase of accelerated evolution.

Face recognition

Well, artificial intelligence has faced a sense of appreciation and understanding. They are far more accurate and better than humans. Human memory might not recall an identity. But artificial intelligence has not failed in the same. It also senses the lip movements of the other person to come with the best script of what the person is trying to convey.

There is no doubt that artificial intelligence is excelling as each day is passing by, but at the end of the day, they still lack the sense of primary and general intelligence. But the day they gain the ability to sift through that as well, the world of artificial; intelligence shall witness a new beginning of the phenomenon.

Conclusion

Artificial Intelligence had a real function in the day to day life that has been displaced from being a part of a thing of lofty dreams to reality. Just as in the past decade, we have seen the AI assistants go from a novelty feature on the smartphone to become the “Home Assistants” that run our lives and households. In the next decade, Artificial Intelligence will probably become an utterly standard tool that is even found in many segments of our lives. Even though today it might seem far-fetched or far off.

Artificial Intelligence has already proved it can beat us at games, make music and art. However, it can reproduce itself and consolidated medical records so that it can help makes diagnoses. It also has the ability to do the part of transcribing audio.

Such as the future of Artificial Intelligence is sure to be so much exciting, so is the future of many other latest technologies. Furthermore, keep an eye on the techiexpert to not miss out on any!
