Engineering has long been one of the most popular career choices in India but many graduates feel disappointing after earning the degree. Theoretical knowledge often outweighs practical skills and leaves the graduates unprepared for real-world jobs. Ahmedabad-based startup My Equation is aiming to change the narrative.
The startup has been founded by engineer Ratik Gupta after facing struggles while looking for work, My Equation focuses on bridging the gap between the learning of students in classrooms and the actual requirements of the industry. Ratik is a B.Tech graduate in Electronics and Communication and he realized that graduates like him lacked the hands-on experience employers value.
The approach of My Equation is equipped with virtual labs and industrial training programs. The labs let students experiment, fail and learn in a safe environment by bringing the workshop experience to their screens. Its Chief Marketing Officer Pranav Chachra said that they believe in learning by doing.
The startup young and relatable team of mentors and the mentors understand challenges faced by today’s students. Chief Operating Officer Kaustuv Mohanty said that their mentors speak the same language as the students.
