E-waste is a growing concern across the world. Central Pollution Control Board report reveals India generates 1.71 million metric tons of e-waste each year. The worldwide e-waste generation is reaching 59.40 million metric tons. KPMG and ASSOCHAM study reveals that computer equipment constitutes about 70% of India’s e-waste. It is followed by telecom devices (12%), electrical equipment (8%) and medical equipment (7%).
