All the tech giants like Microsoft, Facebook, Google and Amazon are joining the AI race one by one and currently, it is a many-legged race where a single winner may well be impossible to predict. Everyone is giving their version of how AI will change the world and trying to push their technology through. But one thing is for certain; AI will surely change more than a few bricks around the globe and may well be the dawn of a new world order.
Speculations aside, there are certain things that will be impacted by AI immediately in the coming years and they range from technological to cultural. Here are some of the possible impacts of AI-

Pervasive computing
With AIs working as personal assistants in the form of Siri, Alexa etc. it is only a matter of time before everything can be controlled by such assistants. Google Home and Amazon Echo are already existing reality so you can simply make your home appliances smarter by instructing them. Amazon Echo, for example, comes with a quaint screen which feels like a nice assistant at home and works better than a phone because of the nature of intimacy. Computers can now literally see things and construct the world fundamentally made of certain objects.

Governing people, better security AI may well pave way for unique governance ideas beyond political propaganda. It may tell you what policies would fare better in terms of popular response and what actions may result from which kind of policies.

Data can be used to make your life better and change it for good. So, when government has the right data, it can take the right decisions for your betterment. Cyber attacks will increase with advancement of technology and it is here AI can make decisive interventions. Cybersecurity will go up a few notches and NSA, in fact, is working towards it. Hence, humans will soon be completely dependent on fully automated security methods controlled by AI.
