Bharti Airtel is a telecom company launching the country’s first multiplex on the Partynite Metaverse platform. In Airtel’s Xstream Premium offering, Xstream multiplex is an extension.
Shashwat Sharma, Director in Marketing at Airtel, said, “Airtel’s Xstream multiplex has bought Web 3.0 apps & immersive storytelling altogether with content from partners. The team of Airtel’s Xstream is looking forward to tapping into a larger audience through the metaverse. The team is hoping to drive in higher adoption.”
Airtel’s Xstream multiplex will have a 20-screens with access to content portfolios from OTT partners. Xstream multiplex will work actively with the sampling of top original shows & movies with content pieces, including the first episode of OTT original or initial minutes of a movie in its regional languages. Viewers will get overall access to the subscription of a plan.
Rajat Ojha, the founder of Partynite, mentioned, “Airtel Xstream Premium’s multiplex provides a supreme experience which is one of the most scalable use case scenarios for the metaverse. Metaverse is expecting its future in the categories like movies, music, live events & premium sports streaming. Metaverse is planning to launch the latest methods of content delivery.
Xstream multiplex will allow the permissions for its users to interact on Partynite Metaverse. The idea was grabbed by Airtel’s integrated media agency Essence ideated; Gamitronics developed the blockchain-powered digital parallel universe, Partynite.
Partynite Metaplex’s application is supported by both Android and Windows as well. Airtel Xstream Premium gives convenience to watch the platforms including SonyLIV, ErosNow, Lionsgate Play, Hoichoi, ManoramaMax, Shemaroo, Ultra, HungamaPlay, EPICon, Docubay, DivoTV, Klikk, Nammaflix, Dollywood, and Shorts TV. Airtel introduced that it has touched 2 million paid subscribers, as mentioned on June 13.
The Indian OTT market has now gained a lot of popularity among people over the globe has about 40 players. It is expected to grow rapidly and touch the heights of $2 billion by 2025.
