StyleDotMe, a Delhi based fashion startup ,which operates an Augmented Reality based fashion technology startup has now secured a bridge round of funding from the Indian Angel network.
In the statement, the company has also revealed that the bridge round of funding which was led by the IAN investors which include then Ambarish Raghuvanshi, Deval Tiberwalla, Ajay Gupta and Hari Balasubramanian.
The round also saw some of the participation from the former Google country head Rajan Anandan, which is an also a partner at IAN.
The company will also now use the funds to ramp up the operations, acquire new customers, expands into more geographical locations and strengthen its team.
Apart from the funding, it will also be used to launch the business to the consumer version of its patented Augmented Reality technology product mirrAR for the global market.
“Jewellery retail in India is an extremely fragmented market. The majority of stores are single stores across the country, with only a handful of regional brands having multiple outlets across states and catering to a pan-India consumer base,” said Meghna Saraogi, co-founder at StyleDotMe.
The startup which is founded by the Akhil Tolani and Saraogi in the year 2014 January. It started off as a fashion application that helps the customers to make an instant and quick fashion decisions with their network of followers and friends along with the help of expert advice.
The company as of now has also claimed to have tied up with more than 60 retailers across the 17 cities across the PAN India that even includes the Amrapali, PC Jewellers and Tanishq and Farah Khan as well.
