Apple is almost ready to show off a smart AI tool made just for developers who make iPhone apps. People who know about it say the company is almost done making a tool that will help app makers by doing some of the coding work for them.

Apple wants to make its main programming software, Xcode, even better by adding this new AI tool. This means the iDevice giant will now be competing directly with Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot, which does similar things with AI to help people code. Also, Apple is working on another AI tool that will help make testing apps easier by automatically generating some of the code.

Right now, Apple is trying out these new AI features. Apple chose a few engineers to test if the new features are good enough and up to Apple’s standards. Even though Apple has not talked about it yet, their quiet work shows how determined they are to stay ahead in technology.

Apple is trying hard to stay as good as other corporate giants like OpenAI, Google and Microsoft at making smart AI. CEO Tim Cook talked about some neat AI things they are going to show off later this year in a meeting about how much money the company made.

However, news of Apple’s AI initiatives has surfaced earlier than anticipated. The company has ambitious plans to integrate AI features into future software updates, internally dubbed Crystal for iPhone and iPad, and Glow for MacOS. These features include smart Apple Music playlists, slideshows made by AI and a better search tool called Spotlight.

So, Apple is getting ready to show off a great new AI tool and add AI to all its gadgets.
