This Bluetooth wireless speaker from Creative is worth your money

Creative, the Singapore based company that gifted the world the famous Sound Blaster Roar portable Bluetooth wireless speaker, is now offering us a smaller and lighter version of its wonderful product in Sound Blaster Roar 2.

Launched recently, the Sound Blaster Roar 2 has the same battery life and five speaker drivers as the Classic Sound Blaster Roar but is now 20 per cent smaller in size and 10 per cent lighter in weight.

Priced at an attractive Rs. 16,999, the device offers near-field communication(NFC), an impressive 6,000 mAh battery unit, Bluetooth, and can support microSD or microSDHC cards up to the limit of 32GB.

In order to make things a little more interesting, Creative offers the dual orientation to its users, that means, the users depending on their convenience can choose to orient the speakers horizontally for the purposes of room-filling and balanced audio, or vertically, in order to extract more directed and louder audio.

Weighing a total of just 1 kg (yes, just 1 kg), the speaker can be easily paired with any of your NFC-enabled device by just tapping on the right side of the speaker.

Since a majority of us love listening to music while sleeping, Creative has also come with a unique feature for the same in the Sound Blaster Roar 2. Being named the “Bedtime Mode,” the feature makes the speaker gradually reduce its volume before eventually shutting down automatically.

This way, the users can go to sleep gently and also save the speaker’s battery and battery life by turning it off after sometime, rather than keeping it on for the whole night.

Now, isn’t that being creative in true sense?

Along with the Bedtime Mode feature, other interesting features include the charge-up port
and the recording feature. While the charge-up port feature provides one the luxury of charging whenever or wherever one wants, the recording feature, on the other hand, allow/ the user to record voice for playback for self reminders and other such purposes.

Not only this, the Sound Blaster Roar 2 is also capable of doubling up as your very favourite MP3 player, and provide you the choice of playing music stored on your micro-SD card and also make use of its pause/play buttons in order to control the music.
