Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has partnered with EV startup Bounce Infinity to launch eDrive stores. It is a forward-thinking approach and it aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across India. The partnership is viewed as a step toward transforming traditional fuel stations into modern as well as versatile energy hubs.
The eDrive stores will be strategically located and as of now will be made available at just some selective BPCL retail outlets. It will be a multi-brand hub where consumers can purchase electric two-wheelers directly. Both the companies are hoping to make the transition to electric transportation more convenient and accessible. Each outlet will be equipped with charging points for EVs.
The operation of these eDrive stores will be managed either by Bounce Infinity or through the extensive dealer network of BPCL. It will ensure a seamless and efficient customer experience. The collaboration seems to open new opportunities for BPCL dealers as they will receive support in marketing, inventory management and training as well from Bounce Infinity.
eDrive stores of each BPCL location will showcase just one brand. This will allow Bounce Infinity or another chosen brand exclusive presence. The exclusivity allows focused branding and customer engagement at each site.
The initiative is part of BPCL’s broader strategy. It believes to support sustainability goals and adapt to the evolving needs of customers. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head of Retail at BPCL, said that the transformation is crucial for catering to modern demands as well as to contribute to the environmental sustainability. Partnering with Bounce Infinity is an expansion of service offerings and one step further to reinforce commitment to sustainable practices.
