BrainSightAI’s $5 Million Funding Aims to Enhance Brain Care Across India

Bengaluru-based neuroscience startup BrainSightAI has hit the headlines with its recent $5 million Pre-Series A funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund equipped with support from IvyCap Ventures, Silver Needle and existing investors.

BrainSightAI was founded by Laina Emmanuel and Dr. Rimjhim Agrawal in 2019. It has been breaking new ground since then with its proprietary platform named VoxelBox. The platform is based on connectomics and maps neural connections to help in diagnosing and treating tumors and other complex brain disorders.

The funding is of course about growth, but it is also about the broader vision. BrainSightAI plans to expand its reach in Tier 1 cities and venture into Tier 2 markets. It aims to broaden focus to include neurological and psychiatric care as well to address the diverse needs of patients across India.

CEO and Co-founder Laina Emmanuel said that the potential of connectomics to advance personalized brain care is immense. They are excited to work with such investors who share their vision of building world-class solutions from India.

BrainSightAI stand out for its ambition to think beyond borders. The company is meanwhile trying to achieve FDA certification to enter the U.S. market.
