Bühler India announced the launching of an exciting initiative titled Startup Sprint 2024. It is a
Swiss technology group and mainly aims to transform the food and feed value chain in the country. It seeks to identify and support such startups which are bringing fresh and market-ready solutions to the industry. It is calling startups to take part in the first edition of the initiative.
The Startup Sprint 2024 focuses on four critical categories and these are digital transformation, sensor technologies, sustainable food processes, and future food technologies. Startups offering digital solutions for primary and secondary processes in grain and food production are encouraged to apply under the first category. The second category invites startups which are equipped with innovative sensor technologies that can be seamlessly integrated into food processing to enhance efficiency. Sustainable food processes seek startups with novel technologies and methods for food and feed processing that can create a sustainable impact. Future food technologies welcome startups equipped with innovative solutions in cellular agriculture and have the potential for sustainable bioprocessed food and feed.
Applications for taking part in the Startup Sprint 2024 are opened from June 25 and the last date of submission is August 11. Companies will be shortlisted after a thorough evaluation process by the experts and business heads of Bühler. Selected startups will get the opportunity to validate their processes or technologies on an industrial scale. They will also get a chance to co-develop a Proof of Concept (POC) at one of Bühler’s Application and Training Centers. They will simultaneously gain access to process know-how and business expertise. Bühler will also support the startups through a total monetary benefit of INR 20 Lakhs.
Bühler’s collaborative innovation lead, Garima Chhabra, expressed excitement about the challenge. She said that the event will provide a unique opportunity for the Indian startups to showcase their work.
