BonV Aero (BonV) is a deep tech company in the aerospace & aviation sector aiming to democratize aerial mobility through its state of the art intelligent heavy lift electric aerial vehicles for goods and people transportation
Currently focussing on redefining the concept of military logistics in all areas including inhospitable and hilly terrains of Himalayas .
One of the main missions for starting BonV stemmed from addressing the logistical challenges faced in challenging terrains, especially in the Eastern Himalayan region where the Indian Army heavily relies on manual labor like porters and mules. Recognizing this gap, we aimed to revolutionize aerial mobility, developing heavy-lift electric aerial vehicles or logistic drones to enhance efficiency and overcome the challenges of traditional methods in such terrains from 8 hours of mules based logistic operations to just avg 8 minutes logistic drone based transportations.
Our Vision is to provide the safest & most advanced aerial mobility for goods and people transportation and giving each one of us wings to fly.
What inspired you to start BonV Aero, and what vision do you have for the company’s role in shaping the future of aerial logistics?
See the Hilly, challenging terrains of our border areas are a logistics nightmare. In these terrains Indian Defence Forces employ 15000 porters annually to carry supplies to posts and villages. They can do Maximum two to three trips a day. Imagine the soldiers that are protecting us, our border, protecting the nation day and night not getting fresh food. In winters they eat frozen food which is six months old. Isn’t it a misery?
To solve this burning problem, When we ran calculations at BonV, we could be doing this with 3000 vehicles in much less time. And, that’s 1000 percent more efficient and carbon free.
Now, Just apply the gains in Disaster Relief, Emergency Medical Supplies, and commercial logistics. An astonishing new vista opens before your eyes which is carbon free and sustainable.
Moreover, the current road infrastructure in urban areas where congestion and carbon emitting vehicles cause the degradation of the environment resulting in high cost & inefficiency. Road based transportation which is always affected by heavy congestion if you see Bangalore, Mumbai , Delhi or world wide Long, Paris, New York etc. Bad infrastructure & disruptions are always on news, thus it becomes costlier & time consuming. The world annually loses $ 300BN due to congestion on roads and contributes 23% of total greenhouse gas emissions.
How do you see the aerial logistics drone industry evolving in the next 5-10 years, and where does BonV Aero fit into this landscape?
The market is growing at a very high growth rate in India due to recent developments in the Drone Policy and Defense Acquisition Policy. Companies engaged in the market are experiencing active support from the government, private sector, and investor community. Current Interim Budget of 2024 where the Honourable Finance Minister announced 50 years interest free loans on deep tech & research is a great move to catalyze innovation.
This high growth rate is also seen in the global eVTOL market with recent developments in maturity of Aviation policies of regulators like EASA and FAA.
With further developments in aviation policies and battery technology, it is expected for the growth rate to increase further.

Our aerial vehicles exhibit remarkable efficiency in high-altitude areas, even in adverse weather conditions. The self-flying technology, powered by a sophisticated software stack, enables autonomous operations, including takeoff, landing, and payload swaps.
The proprietary propulsion system is tailored for challenging terrains, while an AI-enabled predictive maintenance system ensures optimal performance. With a mission planner for operations and autonomous fleet capabilities, Our drones are at the forefront of technological advancements, offering versatile solutions for logistics, defense, and emergency response in demanding environments.
