Droom, which is a Gurgaon based online marketplace for the second-hand cars, has now come up with an Internet of Things-enabled Eco lab. The main aim of this lab is to bring in innovations for Eco Inspection, which even provides the services for those purchasing used vehicles.
The Eco Labs will also provide other services in extensive fleet management.
“After setting up the AI lab to evolve orange book value (OBV) and build newer state-of-the-art tools, we wanted to leverage the technologies to innovate our Eco Inspection tool further. Our aim is to keep our customers free from the stress of dealing with strangers when buying used vehicles,” Rupendra Singh, vice-president of Certification services at Droom, said.
Droom was founded by the Sandeep Agarwal in 2014. The company claims that buyers will not only get vehicles at the lowest price but also receives an all include report of it.
As of now, till date, Droom has inspected more than 100000 vehicles across the 800 cities and targets to achieve more than 750000 by the end of 2019.
It has employed more than 5000 eco ninjas who are technicians working on the inspection part of the cars. The startup also claims that it followed an extensive verification and background check before technicians are certified.
While, the company stated, “At the Eco Lab, we are constantly evolving and bringing forth newer innovations in Eco Inspection using AI technology, and On-board diagnostics (OBD) devices for an extensive car check-up. We ensure that only the best of professionals go on to provide the services.”
