Ebixcash, which is the Indian subsidiary part of the Ebix Inc., which is one of the largest supplier of the on-demand software and e-commerce services today announced in a report that they have acquired around 67% stake in the Delhi based business to business truck logistics company, Routier, in an undisclosed amount of fund.
Routier is the first startup in the industry where the Ebix has made up their strategic investment.
The startup which is launched in the year 2014, by the Ankur Dahiya and Vikram Singh, Routier is a cloud based truck logistics company which connects the shippers and carriers on just a single platform to drive up the efficiency in the supply chain industry with the help of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and with end to end streamlined functionality.
As of now, the company operates in on-road logistics and looking to streamline its services to the cross-border freight movement on its single enterprise market platform. Moreover, it also aims to provide an end to end supply logistics chain of a network from the freight movement to last mile delivery across the country part of borders.
The company as of now is providing its services to Asian Paints, Samsung and Coca-Cola, etc.
“India’s trucking industry has an opportunity to deliver tremendous value and efficiency, and thus we are excited to be partnering with Routier,” the statement cited Ebix CEO Robin Raina as saying.
According to the company officials, Routier has recently secured a multi-million dollar projects from some of the Multi-national companies. “(It) thus needed the backing of Ebix in terms of technical expertise, manpower and working capital to implement and scale these and other opportunities,” he added.
