Quantum computers will transform in the manner that many industries operate. There is a significant impact of quantum computing on the society. Quantum computers can also be utilized to resolve all the related complexities in a faster manner in a more accurate way. However, quantum computers could break many of the encryption algorithms in the present time to secure digital trust. Thus, the technical world is exploring how quantum computing will impact the security of various interactions that businesses and individuals rely on daily.

These days there are various available things, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) or all the physical devices that are interconnected to the internet. The IoT includes everything from smart home devices like thermostats, voice assistants, and cameras to manufacturing, transport, and healthcare devices.

Imagine the consequences if PQC enables an attacker to hack the devices enabling smart cities, health devices, vehicles, or even an individual’s home. This can be secured by both pre-and post-quantum computing.

Attackers frequently target IoT devices that are the most vulnerable part of a network to attack. Hackers can use IoT device vulnerabilities to access other devices or networks, making them an attractive target. At the beginning of this year, there was a 41% increment in attacks on IoT devices. Thus, with the effect of this, there will be an estimated 75 billion IoT devices by 2025.

Various IoT devices are designed in such a way that they must be low-cost and disposable; thus, it can be difficult to deploy software updates to them.

AI and its Transformative Role in Package Tracking

Artificial Intelligence is one of the most significant players in package tracking. AI is the technology that simulates human intelligence processes in machinery. AI includes learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. AI allows its users to make predictive analytics, where AI algorithms analyze the historical delivery data to predict future trends and behaviors.

This feature can help companies forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize delivery routes. AI enables real-time tracking, performs online shopping, and courier services like 4PX can monitor their parcels at every delivery stage through the 4px tracking page. The transformative potential of AI extends beyond streamlining operations and can enhance the user experience.

From personalized customer interactions to proactive issue resolution, AI promises a customer-centric approach to package tracking. AI can generate $1.3 trillion to $2 trillion annually in economic value by optimizing the supply chain and manufacturing. This underscores AI’s transformative impact on package tracking.

Securing IoT from quantum computing

IoT device manufacturers, network operators, and users need to stay informed about the advancements in post-quantum security and prepare for the future cryptographic transition to mitigate potential security risks.

The organizations must be crypto-agile by knowing where crypto is being used and have complete knowledge about the tools to identify and fix issues quickly. Crypto-agility is a security best practice, so organizations can easily swap out their crypto for quantum-resistant encryption methods.

Conclusion

The convergence of AI, IoT, and blockchain technologies is revolutionizing package tracking. This turns it into a more user-centric, efficient, and transparent process. In the future, AI-based tools harnessing the power of these technologies and leading the way in this digital transformation will be at the forefront.

These technologies’ adoption and successful integration will depend on the concerted efforts of tech developers, logistics providers, and regulatory bodies.
