Freshworks, Inc. is an Indian cloud-based customer service software provider that went public in November 2017. IPO means “Initial Public Offering” and it is when a company offers its shares for the first time via an IPO in order to raise money.
The company was founded in 2010 by Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy and is headquartered in Chennai, India with offices in Singapore, San Bruno (USA) and Vadodara (India)
Freshworks IPO raised $238 million and the share price opened at $27 per share before closing at $28.50 per share on its first day of trading
