As a gamer myself, I have often noticed that gamers in India face several issues with inconsistent winning prices, complex regulations, and infrastructural limitations like uneven internet connectivity paired with unreliable power supply, and outdated gadgets. Additionally, societal attitudes often do not recognize gaming as a legitimate career path, in all affecting industry growth and retention of skilled professionals.

To support players, we provide a platform for skill development by hosting daily tournaments and esports competitions, helping gamers build their skills and gain recognition. Gamerji also introduces collegiate esports to nurture young talent and provide a pathway for them to showcase their abilities. I think Gamerji is a serious esports platform for those who wish to become professionals or those who play esports as a hobby, because esports for a hobby is quite expensive and takes a lot of time to build a player profile.

Gamerji helps players build their profiles, improve their skills, and potentially earn a living with its income opportunities from daily tournaments, stats window, live streaming features, and the ability to host esports tournaments. With these factors in play, Gamerji is well-positioned to become a significant player in the esports industry and offer viable income options for gamers in the coming years.

Based on the facts, it’s clear that the rise of female gamers is a global trend. Over 40% of all global gamers are women, and this trend is mirrored in the MENA region. The increasing number of female gamers and supportive government policies have made the UAE a lucrative destination for gaming companies. For India, with its tech-savvy youth, has the potential to become the next esports hub. The Indian esports industry is rapidly growing, with projections of significant expansion in the coming years. Given these, it’s reasonable to expect that India could follow in the footsteps of the UAE and become a major player in the esports industry, attracting gamers and providing viable income opportunities.

With ever evolving technology, what will be much used for gaming in the coming months.

In the coming months, several advanced technologies are set to reshape gaming with greater immersion, accessibility, and quality. VR & AR technologies are becoming integral to gaming. Cloud gaming services are gaining traction, enabling high-quality games without powerful hardware. India is rapidly emerging as a significant hub for esports in 2024. There is a rise in the number of mobile gamers and the government has initiated talks with the industry to bring out right regulations that can help boost esports in the country.

There are certainly challenges in terms of high-tech infrastructure, adequate arenas, high-speed internet, and advanced equipment are essential for hosting large-scale events, awareness and acceptance and while the player pool is large, the economic value generated from competitive gaming is still relatively low. More investment and sponsorship are needed to monetize the talent pool effectively.

As for the opportunities, recently India has seen a growth in the number of esports/mobile players, government hosted international tournaments, creating opportunities for Indian athletes to compete globally has also helped a lot. This growth attracted investments from game publishers and brands. We have seen Technological Advancements with the advent of 5G and cloud gaming is set to revolutionise the esports landscape in India, providing better connectivity and accessibility.
