On the previous basis, the company made an active launch of the live translated captions for Google Meet in January 2022. This feature had the ability to automatically translate conversations from one spoken language to another in real-time on Google Meet.
The available languages in which the captions are visible are Dutch (beta), English, French, German, Italian (beta), Japanese (beta), Korean (beta), Mandarin (Traditional) (coming soon), Portuguese (beta), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian (beta), Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Spain).
The caption is located at the bottom of the screen at the tie of a Google Meet video call. Google Meet participants can also visualize an option to turn it on or off. They can also make the modifications of the language of the captions by heading to the menu and clicking over the captions by selecting a language and clicking Apply.
