Google has come up with a unique program to further give a boost to the Indian startup ecosystem. It has lately announced Startups Accelerator: Apps program. The program is designed to support Android app startups in India through the required resources and mentorship.
The new program is built on the foundation laid by the Appscale Academy and it is backed by the MeitY Startup Hub. It basically aims to offer even more comprehensive support. The evolution from Appscale Academy to the program signifies deeper investment in nurturing app-based startups. The initiative is to ensure with the tools and knowledge to accelerate growth journey of the startups.
The program is of three months and 20 promising startups will be selected to avail the benefits. The startups will receive tailored guidance to enhance their apps as well as improve their technology. They will also be strengthening their security measures and expand user base too.
It is said that it is more than just a growth opportunity for the startups. It is a chance for them to collaborate directly with teams from Android and Google Play. The collaboration promises invaluable insights into product development and growth strategies.
One notable aspect of the program is its emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI). Participants is learned to be gaining access to Google’s AI technologies and resources. It will empower them to leverage AI in innovative ways. Moreover, all the eligible startups will benefit from technical expertise and Google Cloud credits. This will further strengthen their capabilities through the Startups Cloud Program.
The program is open to all Android app-based startups in the country. However, a particular focus is such startups which are in the Seed to Series A stages. This means that a broad range of innovative ideas have the opportunity to flourish with Google’s support.
Interested startups can apply by visiting the Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps program website and completing the application form. Last day to do so is August 15. The program will commence in September.
