In order to strengthen its presence in the growing Indian digital payments industry, Google is now looking to boost up the usage of Google Pay in entire India.
According to the report, Google is planning to integrate the payment service which is as of now deeply in the Android applications. The company has also built an in-app engagement rewards platform which will also allow the developers and businesses to retain users and also drive the engagement on their apps.
The source also added that this project is also now going to expect to be formally launched as a software development by the last year.
Google Pay will also act as one of the cores of this service which will allow the transactions between the businesses and users thus explaining its reach.
According to the report which has been revealed, this project which is also internally dubbed as a Project Cruiser is being led by the Google Billion next users’ team. The company has also been working on these initiatives by the end of last year.
Google had launched Google Tez in the year 2017 as a commerce and payment app to facilitate both offline and online payments. The application works on the top of the consumer contact list and thus even helps them to overrides the need to add the people as beneficiaries or use the bank account numbers.
Google Pay has also collaborated with some of the popular online brands such as the Niki.ai, FreshMenu, Ola, Yatra, and Swiggy as well as some of the internet providers. Apart from that, Google Pay has also formed a high collaboration with the IRCTC which even enables its users to manage their train tickets at a zero transaction fee.
