The journey of Sandeep Jain started from a small town in Firozabad. He has built a $10 million startup that is an inspiring example for startups. He is the founder of GeeksforGeeks that is an example of vision in India’s burgeoning EdTech sector. He has transformed access of learning materials for engineering students.

Jain was born in Firozabad and pursued his education in engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. He later completed his M. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. He started his career as a software developer and worked with a multinational firm between 2007 and 2010.

Jain identified a gap in the educational resources available to engineering students during his time as an Assistant Professor at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. Many students lacked accessible and high-quality content to help them understand complex computer science topics. Jain therefore founded GeeksforGeeks in 2008.

GeeksforGeeks was initially a blog. Jain simplified and explained in it the intricate computer science concepts. The focus was on providing value. This led to the rapid growth of the platform and it soon evolved into a comprehensive digital education platform. It shortly started offering courses, tutorials and coding challenges.

GeeksforGeeks today has expanded its operations to cities like Noida, Bengaluru and Pune. Last year it secured partnerships with Google Developers, Amazon, Microsoft and more such tech giants.

The story of Sandeep Jain highlights the power of innovation and perseverance. He recognized a gap in the market and thereafter created a platform to help students. He has truly set a benchmark in the EdTech space with his GeeksforGeeks startup.
