In a fantastic tech twist, Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RIGA) has rolled out India’s very first smart baggage trolleys, making travel smoother and smarter for everyone.
Imagine this: a cool video showing a traveler’s journey from Hyderabad to Goa, all thanks to these new smart trolleys. They are not just ordinary trolleys, but they scan your boarding pass, keep you updated on your flight and also guide you right to your gate hassle-free.
Anand Mahindra, chairperson of Mahindra and Mahindra group, saw the video and was impressed. He shared on social media, wondering if these were the first of their kind globally. RIGA responded with enthusiasm, expressing their excitement about being the pioneers to introduce these fantastic trolleys and setting a trend for everyone.
Let us understand what is the secret behind these smart trolleys. RIGA is now equipped with more than 3,000 trolleys having fancy long-range radio tech (LoRa). That means they can track the trolleys in real-time and this reduces the time one spends waiting around.
However, there is something more to it. RIGA is not stopping at smart trolleys. They have got a bunch of other high-tech stuff too like a super-smart control center, quick E-Boarding, fast Express Check-in and even AI-driven systems to make sure you can move around the airport without any hiccups.
In brief, Hyderabad’s airport is not just a place to catch flights, but it has now become a global tech hotspot. With these smart trolleys leading the way, travel at RIGA is getting a high-tech makeover, promising a more fun and efficient journey for all of us.
