Hyderabad is to host ISBACON 2024 on October 18 and 19. It is the 16th annual conference of the Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA). It marks another crucial moment in India’s quest to strengthen startup ecosystem. It is to be held at CSIR – Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and the event is a gathering of more than 250 incubators, investors and industry experts.

India is currently emerging as a powerhouse of technological innovation and startups are driving Industry 5.0. Human collaboration with intelligent machines is to reshape industries. Telangana’s Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu is to grace the event as guests of honor. It highlights the commitment of Telangana to strengthen a startup-friendly environment. The involvement of Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Information Technology, highlights active role of the government in nurturing innovation.

ISBACON focus on building a network of enablers such as incubators, accelerators and government bodies as they can provide the necessary support as well as resources required by the startups. Dr. K Suresh Kumar, President of ISBA, said that the goal of ISBACON is to enhance efforts of business incubation in India. It is about investment and also about creating an ecosystem where knowledge-sharing can thrive. It ensures that every entrepreneur and especially those in Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Parks (STEPs) can access the tools to succeed.

A key takeaway from the event is pre-conference workshop at T-Hub, which is a symbol of startup potential Hyderabad. The session is aimed to promote collaboration between tech hubs and bring a hands-on element to the broader discussions at ISBACON. It reinforces the idea that startups cannot function in isolation. They need mentors, investors and policy support.

India is confidently moving into the era of Industry 5.0 and ISBACON 2024 is to serve as a reminder that the future of innovation rests on collaborative efforts between public and private sectors.
