IIM Kozhikode’s Incubator Partners BPCL for Startup Growth

In a significant move towards fostering innovation and sustainable growth, the Incubation Centre of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK Live) has entered into a strategic partnership with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The teamwork will give a big push to startups working on clean energy and cool tech stuff as part of BPCL’s special ‘Project Ankur’ plan.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently inked between Ashutosh Sarkar, Executive Director of IIMK Live, and Sameet Pai, Head of Corporate Strategy at BPCL. The main goal is to help awesome ideas become successful startups. IIMK Live will be a big helper, giving support like training, advice and a safe space for the selected startups.

Project Ankur, BPCL’s startup scheme, is designed to create a conducive ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurship in the country. Partnering with IIMK Live, BPCL plans to give important help to startups, making it more likely for them to succeed. They are said to be implementing it by providing necessary support like training, advice and special programs as well.

Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode and Chairman of IIMK Live, thinks it will help startups in clean energy and tech grow a lot. And, he believes it will make the future better by using the smart ideas of startups.

Sameet Pai, the strategy expert at BPCL, said that startups have cool tech, new ideas, and a business mindset. This partnering is all about finding great startups, teaming up with them and simultaneously helping them grow big.

BPCL has already helped more than 30 startups through Project Ankur, showing they are serious about helping new and creative ideas in the country.
