India Accelerator (IA) has made a bold move to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Pune and has accordingly launched a coworking space with an investment of $500,000. The company is known for its fund-led accelerator model and the new facility aims to provide office space as well as seeks to create an environment where startups can thrive.
Pune has steadily risen as one of the most promising startup hubs in India equipped with close proximity to Mumbai and a strong IT industry. It has attracted $4.7 billion in funding through 355 deals over the period of last one decade or so.
The coworking space is designed to accommodate up to 500 individuals and offers a mix of functionality and style. It is equipped with high-speed internet, ergonomic furniture, soundproof pods and advanced meeting rooms. IA has focused on strengthening collaboration by hosting workshops, networking events and speaker sessions as well.
IA is apart for its ability to combine resources with mentorship. It offers startups access to funding opportunities and guidance through partnerships with venture capital funds like Finvolve. Finvolve is a multi-stage VC fund and has already made significant investments in startups.
IA co-founder Abhay Chawla emphasized the growing role of Pune in India’s startup story. He expressed confidence in its potential saying that \new space of IA is designed to meet the rising demand for vibrant as well as energetic work environments. The company aims to empower startups in an increasingly competitive landscape.
