After signing a collaboration with Japan for the IoT and Artificial Intelligence India on Tuesday has again made an agreement with Russia to increase the cooperation in the field of Blockchain system, AI and to explore the various possibility of joint work in the healthcare domain.
According to the official statement which has been released, the nations also decided to increase cooperation in the field of financial technology, digital front, tourism, and quantum computing.
“Both sides agreed to explore joint working arrangements and pilot projects in healthcare, proposed setting up of a single-window clearance,” said the statement issued after the first India-Russia Strategic Economic Dialogue at St Petersburg.
Both the nations also agreed on the tourism which is going to be a valuable tool for increasing the people to people contract and worldwide economic cooperation.
The dialogues were led by the Indian government policymaker, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar and Minister of Economic Development of Russian Federation Maxim.
According to the official statement, the dialogue mainly focused on the five core main areas – infrastructure, agriculture, transport, small & medium business support, agro-processing sector, frontier technologies & digital transformation and industrial & trade cooperation.
It was decided that the next round of Strategic Economic Dialogue would be held in India in July/August 2019.
The program was the first initiative between India and Russia with a focus on science & technology-based entrepreneurship and is fully sponsored and supported by the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology (DST).
