Dell emerges as India’s leading trusted brand, according to TRA’s Brand Trust Report, 2019, the ninth edition in its series. The brand has crawled up five positions since the last year.
Following Dell, Jeep took the second position, which also made itself India’s most trusted automobile company. LIC and amazon occupied the third and fourth positions, while Apple’s iPhone stood fifth, climbing 118 positions since last year. It also leads to the mobile phone series.
Samsung occupied the sixth position and is the leader of mobile phones in India. In the seventh and eighth positions lie LG’s Televisions and Aviva Life Insurance, which were also ranked the top in the most trusted Consumer Electronics and life insurance companies. Maruti Suzuki is at 9th position and is followed by State bank of India at 10th.
Tata Group took up most of the positions, with 23 brands in the most trusted list this year, which made it the highest. Godrej came next with 15 brands and Amul followed with 11 brands, while Samsung represented 8 in the most trusted list. LG, Honda, Cadbury’s, Nestle, Parle, and Dabur are represented by seven brands each.
The report is a result of a study that has been conducted across 16 Indian cities on 2,315 consumers aged between 21 15,000 hours of fieldwork, covering 2,315 consumer-influencers across 16 cities in India, and generated 5 million data points and 9,000 unique brands, from which the top 1000 brands have been listed in this year’s report. Indian Statistical Institute is TRA’s statistical partner for the research methodology.
