Infosys which is the second largest IT company of India has now announced a three-year strategic technology partnership with the Roland Garros, which is the annual tennis Grand Slam event which is going to be held in Parris.
According to the report which has been revealed, the collaboration is now aimed at using the latest tech innovations such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality to offer the new experiences to players, fans, and coaches of tennis.
“We’re excited to partner with Roland-Garros to showcase how digital technologies can enhance the boundaries of this tournament by leveraging data, insights and digital experiences,” said Pravin Rao, chief operating officer of Infosys.
The President of the French Tennis Federation, Bernard further revealed that the Infosys would aid the tournament digital transformation objectives.
Infosys also revealed that it would offer the Roland Garros a reimagined user interface for the fans to follow the live scores and get the analysis of the match. The user interface will be going to be powered and supported by the Analytics models. The tool will be available on the official website of the Roland Garros at the time of two-week tournament which is going to be held in May.
Roland Garros further also revealed that it would provide the VR reality experiences at the Infosys fan zone. The AR-VR enabled experience will help the fans get a feel of stepping onto the center court and playing the tennis on the clay surface.
Infosys has also revealed the “Second Screen” tool for the ATP coaches and players in the year 2017. The app also assessed their weakness and strengthens of players, thus even enabling a better review of performances and strategies. The feature was built in just three months with the Infosys AI platform, Infosys Nia back in the year 2017.
