Infosys, which is a Bangalore based IT service firm, has now collaborated with the US-based database solutions provider MongoDB to accelerate the app development for enterprises with the help of a new API speed layer.
The new solution will also be going to help the enterprises to develop applications faster with the API route by taking advantage of Infosys microservices acceleration platform in combination with the MongoDB global cloud database called by the name as MongoDB Atlas, according to the report which has been revealed.
“API economy is one of the focus areas of Infosys’ agile digital strategy, and our partnership with MongoDB will provide a strong value proposition of strategic offerings such as the API-led speed layer in this space,” Ravi Kumar S, President, Infosys, said.
He also added that the company even looking to look at accelerating the API led digital transformation for customers.
The new solution will also allow the customers to run legacy software in the architecture of microservices.
Microservices architecture is an approach in the software development that provides a breaking down of a large application into different modules or functions so that it can be developed, deployed, and tested faster.
This means that organizations should be able to run a wide range of applications in diverse environments such as multi-cloud and in Software As a Services solutions.
