Indian second largest IT Tech Giant company Infosys will be going to set up a new technology and innovation center in Texas and hire the 500 new American workers by the end of 2020.
The hub will be going to be located in the Richardson, Texas and gave a special focus in the field of retail, banking and telecommunications sector, the company said in a report. In the year 2017, Infosys had announced that setting up for such centers and hiring about 10000 locals in America by the end of 2019.
“Infosys’ investment in Texas reinforces the company’s commitment to driving digital transformation for American enterprises by leveraging local talent alongside the best global talent,” the statement said.
“We are excited to announce the expansion of our presence in Texas, which is another important step in our continued investment in driving digital transformation for American businesses,” Infosys Chief Operating Officer Pravin Rao said.
Ravi Kumar, President at Infosys, said the investment in Texas would further improve the Bengaluru-based company’s ability to serve clients by broadening the STEM talent pipeline in the state and provide training for the specialist skills that its clients need.
As of now, Infosys has opened two Innovation and Technology centers one in Indiana, Indianapolis, and North Carolina.
Infosys has also announced to set up more such type of centers in the Phoenix, Connecticut, and Hartford as well as to open some of the unique design and Innovation Center in Rhode Island.
Infosys foundation of America also provides multiple grants for the classroom computer science and technology training to the schools and teachers.
