One of the similar features of Twitter, Instagram will soon initiate testing a repost feature. As per a report which is citing a spokesperson from the social media platform. With a selected number of Instagram users, testing will be performed. The first announcement regarding the feature surfaced last week when a social media consultant spotted it on Instagram Head Adam Mosseri’s profile. Adam also shared a screenshot. Twitter is also working on various other developmental functions to be working as adding support for sharing tweets on Instagram Stories.
As per the report made by TechCrunch, Meta also owned a photo and video sharing platform. Meta said they are going to explore the ability to reshare posts in Instagram Feed, which is quite similar to how you can reshare stories. This feature will enable the users to share what resonates with them, and so original creators are credited for their work,”
Matt Navarra, a social media consultant, and industry analyst, primarily spotted the feature and posted a screenshot on Instagram head Adam Mosseri’s profile. It revealed that the report tab would appear on users’ profiles alongside the posts, reels, and tagged photos tabs. After two days, Navarra posted another image, which highlighted that the feature is expected to work. The Repost tab on Instagram is likely to reflect all the reposts that users have reshared on their accounts.
After the introduction to the latest feature, the users can repost a reel or post on Instagram on your stories and share it as a DM to their close friends and groups as well. There is no other way to reshare the post to your feeds like Twitter, which recently added its own version of the cross-platform reposting/ sharing feature on Android.
According to the Twitter feature, the users of Android will be able to quickly share tweets directly to Instagram Stories and Snapchat. Prior to the launch of the new feature, they had to take a screenshot to post it on Instagram Stories while building on the clutter in the photos/ gallery app on smartphones during the process.
