One of the largest IT development company Intel has set up its second design center in the city of Bangalore and the largest one outside America with an investment of Rs 1100 crore.
The company revealed that the new design facility will now be going to focus on the new age technology areas which include the work for underlying technology for the 5G network.
Intel has said that the facility which is located at a 44-acre campus has a 620000 sq ft of space which includes the 100000 sq ft of world-class lab infrastructure. The company as of now has not disclosed the number of people as it has hired at the new range of facility. “Extending Intel’s R&D presence in India, it will house technologists who work on cutting-edge engineering across hardware and software,” said the company.
The country head of the Intel India and Vice President of the Data Center group, Nivruti Rai said that the company plays a vital role in the growth by making it much more significant contributions to its technology and product portfolio in areas which includes Graphics, Client, Artificial intelligence, 5G, Cloud and Advanced Driver Assistance System.
“Our newest design facility, initiatives to promote the culture of innovation, Diversity & Inclusion, reinforce our long-term commitment towards technology advancement in the country. We are excited about the tremendous opportunities to innovate, collaborate and contribute towards a better India and a better world, especially the work we are doing in the area of urban and rural connectivity, AI and enabling the manufacturing ecosystem in India,” she said.
