The upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Startup Conclave 2024 (JKSC 2024) is to mark a significant moment for entrepreneurship in the region. It is scheduled for November 8, 2024, at MIET in Jammu. The event is being organized by FICCI FLO Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh (JKL) and in partnership with the Model Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET). It highlights a growing realization that startup ecosystem is ripe for transformation in Jammu & Kashmir.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL and Director at MIET, highlighted the untapped potential of the region and outlined the need to build a powerful platform to foster local innovation and as well as new entrepreneurs. She said that their ecosystem is still in its infancy and JKSC 2024 seeks to ignite the first wave of creativity and entrepreneurship.
The full-day event is to feature engaging discussions, keynote addresses and startup showcases as well. it is believed to set the stage for collaborative opportunities among founders, investors and policymakers. It promises to feature an inspiring lineup and to include industry leaders like Bhuvan Gupta, Co-founder & CTO of Oxyzo & OfBusiness, Aarti Gupta, Head of the FICCI FLO Startup Cell, Dr. Deepak Motwani from the Wadhwani Foundation, and Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Chair of TiE India Angels.
JKSC 2024 is a networking opportunity and also a platform for building dreams. Ruchika Gupta highlighted the bigger picture and tied the regional initiative to India’s national goal of achieving ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. She said that strengthening a vibrant startup culture in every corner of the country is essential and JKSC 2024 is an invitation to the local talents to become active contributors to the national mission.
Varuna Anand, Immediate Past Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, announced the awards that will recognize standout startups. The categories would be like the Pride of JK Startup Award and Early Stage Promising Startup Award.
