Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is on a mission to make Kerala the center of all things tech by setting up a tech hub at Technocity. This big move follows Kerala bagging the ‘Best Performer’ award in the States’ Startup Ranking 2022 by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

Kerala Startup Mission CEO Anoop Ambika spilled the beans about the plan. They want to create an emerging technology hub at Pallippuram near Thiruvananthapuram, costing a whopping ₹1,500 crore and sprawling across five lakh square feet.

This new hub is not just a regular building, but it is like a special clubhouse for startups that love cool tech things. You know, the kind of startups that are into fancy stuff like talking robots, machines that learn by themselves, super secure digital ledgers and even other mind-blowing things.

Kerala is not new to the startup game. Winning the ‘Best Performer’ title in the States’ Startup Ranking 2022 proves that the state is the place to be for budding entrepreneurs.

Kerala has been rocking the ‘Top Performer’ title for three years straight. This means the state is not just good, but it is awesome at giving startups the support they need. The state is like a dreamland for startups. They help students and ladies who want to start their own businesses. They even set up cool programs like IGNITE, where new companies can meet important people called investors. It is like a big helping hand for startups to make their dreams come true in the state.

KSUM, short for Kerala Startup Mission, is the champion behind all this startup magic. It was created in 2006 by the Kerala government to help people kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys and turn their big ideas into reality.
