Kerala's chargeMOD to Boost Network with 1,200 Stations Nationwide

ChargeMOD, a startup in the energy tech segment from Kerala is making news. It has revealed to be coming up with 1,200 new EV chargers pan India and half of it is planned for Kerala.

ChargeMOD’s plan is to install 1,000 slow chargers and 200 fast chargers in various parts of the country and this include 500 slow chargers and 100 fast chargers within Kerala. The new charging stations will be complementing the existing 1,500 charging points in the state and another 2,000 spread across India in various strategic locations.

The startup further ups the EV charging game by introducing Ultra Fast Chargers having capacities ranging from 120 kW to 340 kW. Such chargers are highly promising as will reduce the charging time to a great extent and life easier for EV owners nationwide.

CEO and Co-Founder of chargeMOD, M Ramanunni, expressed pride in the growth of his startup saying that the team is being led by four student engineers and they may become a major player in the EV industry. Even though challenges are being faced due imports of chargers, the startup remains committed to delivering quality as well as affordability to users.

Ramanunni highlighted that the focus is on reliability and efficiency. He stated that the company is seeking to lead the EV charging sector by offering an entire ecosystem of charging solutions. It means they will be providing hardware and software made in India.

One of the key strategies of the company is to ensure accessibility and convenience for EV users. They plan to strategically place AC slow chargers within a 5 km radius and DC fast chargers within a 50 km radius

The company claims that over 120 new subscribers are joining the network daily and they have facilitated more than four million kilometers of emission-free travel.
