Legal tech space startup LegalKart has lately secured Rs 6.5 crore in fresh funding and the round witnessed contributions from the IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre, Aevitas Capital, Shift Alt Cap and others. It brought renewed support to its mission to simplify legal access across India.

The Gurugram-based LegalKart was founded by Arvind Singhatiya in 2019 and it was built with a vision to make legal services more accessible as well as affordable. LegalKart offers users a way to connect directly with legal professionals through audio and video consultations available in all Indian languages. LegalKart goes beyond basic consultations and with services like property document checks, vehicle challan payments and quick drafting.

The journey of LegalKart has been promising until now and earlier in January 2022 it raised Rs 4 crore in its pre-Series A round led by Mumbai Angels. The fresh capital is to help the company to focus more on growth and innovation. The funds will fuel new AI-driven products and expand the reach of LegalKart into tier II and III cities.

The demand for accessible legal services has been rising and the recent growth of LegalKart reflects the same. It shows the strong market need for easy-to-access legal support. LegalKart is working to automate legal processes and making them quicker as well as more efficient for users.

The new funding round signals broader trend in India’s legal tech scene where technology is stepping in to bridge gaps in the traditional legal system. LegalKart has continued to expand and its focus on AI innovation as well as regional reach positions it well to become a key player in making legal support available to all.
