M3 acquires a majority share in Bengaluru-based DailyRounds

Japanese healthcare venture M3 Inc on Monday claimed about the acquisition of a majority stake in Bengaluru-based DailyRounds, known as a mobile and web-based applications for doctors and medical students in India. In regards with the company, this move states M3’s foray into case-based problem-solving community platform and medical test preparation business complied in India.

Neuroglia Health Private Limited (NHPL) reserves and functions ‘DailyRounds’ mobile app, a case-based problem-solving community platform for doctors in India, as well as ‘Marrow,’ a test-preparation platform for stepping in post-graduate specialty courses in medical schools in India.

Further M3 India currently operates Health Impetus Private Limited (HIPL), that smoothly takes on online portals lending their hands towards Indian doctors stay abreast with the latest in research, medical news, evidence-based medicine, practice guidelines, and expert articles and much more.

HIPL is a joint venture, declared in association with HealthCare at HOME India, in August 2016. Founders Dr Deepu Sebin, Priyaank Choubey, and Nimmi Cherian bring in the best out of this startup since 2015. Further, DailyRounds is supported by investors, including Accel Partners, Kae Capita, Powerhouse Ventures, and Japanese VC Beenext.

Presently, DailyRounds builds a network of around 450,000 doctors in India. Through this acquisition, M3 also looks forward to import services and technologies developed in Japan and in international markets to our nation.

These services involve, job placement support services and AI applications that aims to build next generation healthcare technologies. M3 mentions to be a specialized web portal for medical professionals that delivers healthcare-related information to nearly 270,000 physician members in Japan and over 4.5 million physician members across multiple websites world-wide in order to endeavour marketing, clinical trial, and various other services in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
