Maharashtra is set to host Startup Week 2024 event with an aim to showcase vibrant startup ecosystem and simultaneously promote innovation as well as entrepreneurship in the state. It is inviting startups from across India and which are recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to take part in the event. It highlights the commitment of state government to strengthen a conducive environment for budding entrepreneurs and innovative ventures.
Startups must possess a valid DPIIT recognition certificate and have a deployment-ready Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for their eligibility of participation. Startups which are able to meet the criteria are encouraged to apply online through the official application form. Top 100 startups will be shortlisted to present their ideas and 24 of them will be selected across various sectors.
Winning startups will be awarded direct government work orders worth up to INR 15 lakhs each. The funds are said to be allocated to pilot solutions with various Maharashtra Government departments and equipped with a support period of up to 12 months of extension for deployment.
Selected startups will also gain access to a wealth of resources such as mentoring from industry experts, cloud credits and networking opportunities with investors as well as industry leaders. The support is basically aimed to help the startups in scaling their innovations as well as bring them to the ready market.
As Maharashtra prepares for Startup Week 2024, the excitement within the entrepreneurial community is palpable.
