New Delhi Welcomes SCO Startup Forum 4.0

New Delhi hosted the fourth edition of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Startup Forum. The event mainly focused in strengthening collaboration and innovation among startups from the SCO Member States.

More than 15 startups from the SCO region took part in it to showcase their innovative products as well as services. This forum is a perfect platform for their networking and also a good source of inspiration for budding entrepreneurs who are seeking to make their mark in the industry.

A significant feature at the event was a workshop on Seed Fund Establishment, which was organized by Startup India. All the entrepreneurs there had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into setting up seed funds for early-stage startups. The session was highly interactive and encouraged the participants to share their experiences with others as well as learn from one another to enrich the startup ecosystem further.

One of the key outcomes was the establishment of a Special Working Group (SWG), which is completely dedicated to Startups and Innovation. The move highlights the commitment of all SCO Member States to collaborate as well as drive regional economic development. India holds a permanent chair in SCO and over the years has taken a leading role in formulating the regulations of SWG. India will be hosting the second meeting on it in November 2024.

India has confirmed its commitment to strengthening innovation as well as collaboration by announcing the hosting of the 5th SCO Startup Forum in January 2025. The SCO Startup Forum 4.0 in New Delhi was a testament to the collective determination of SCO Member States to leverage innovation for sustainable development and prosperity.
