Fashion-tech startup Newme has quickly captured the attention of Gen Z women. It has plans to launch about 15 to 20 new stores by the end of fiscal year 2025. The expansion reflects its growing influence in the dynamic fashion arena of India.

Its focus is basically in Delhi-NCR as the region contributes more than 20% of its online customer base. Opening an experience store at Vegas Mall in Dwarka and rolling out a 90-minute delivery service across the region is a clear gesture of more than just convenience. It is a calculated attempt to elevate the customer experience with a blend of technology with fashion.

Quick delivery is not a new concept, but the ability of Newme to implement effectively is reaching out to more than 2,000 customers within weeks of launch. It shows the understanding of its audience. Gen Z is not just looking for fashion, but they are also looking for speed, ease and personalized shopping journey. Newme is creating a blueprint for what the future of fashion retail could look like in India.

Co-founder and CEO Sumit Jasoria said that Delhi is one of their top three markets. This is the reason they are focusing on fast delivery and physical stores in the city. Many brands are currently pulling back from physical stores, but Newme seems to understand that Gen Z craves experiences and convenience too. Shopping is not just about buying, but it is about engaging, exploring as well as enjoying.

Newme already has 9 stores in key cities like Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Its rapid expansion highlights an admirable confidence. The growth will be something to watch as they continue to blend innovation with fashion.
