Can you elaborate on the founding inspiration behind Hubler and its evolution into a leading no-code platform for enterprises?
I founded my first company, Unicel Technologies, in 2003, to solve gaps in the enterprise mobility space. We launched India’s first VN platform for missed call alerts and mobile
banking OTPs. Unicel was extremely successful, but, behind-the-scenes, we ran most of our operations using Excel spreadsheets, chat messages, and emails, which hampered our ability to scale. We struggled with off-the-shelf applications and outsourcing for a long time. We eventually made it work. This struggle was really the inspiration behind founding Hubler.
I spent considerable time and resources organizing all the chaos of a successful enterprise at Unicel. Negotiating these challenges drove home the importance of technology and how democratizing it is the key to seamlessly operating and scaling enterprises. Over the years, Hubler has become a no code platform of choice for enterprises who want to build and scale without relying on developers.
How does Hubler differentiate itself in the competitive landscape, particularly in comparison to traditional outsourcing firms and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software?
For one, Hubler abstracts IT complexity away. You can create and deploy your own software without having developers or DevOps resources. Second, Hubler enables companies to gain value from software from month 1, instead of waiting for 3 – 6 months, which is typical for software built from scratch. That’s because Hubler has ready-to-use modules and solutions for 100+ use cases that matter to Operations, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Facilities professionals. Last, enterprise COTS software is not built for you. They are built to solve the needs of their largest customers, which means you pay for features that you don’t need and are stuck with software that does not solve all of your needs.
Could you share a key client success story highlighting the impact of Hubler’s solutions on operational efficiency and innovation?
There are quite a few. Lenskart, India’s largest eyewear retailer, scaled their operations from 100 retail stores to 1500+ stores over the last few years. Along the way, their ability to onboard new stores, operationalize them, and manage them sprung leakages and delays because of their scale. For example, paying the leases and utility bills for each store, on time, was a painstaking affair that caused inordinate delays. Thankfully, Lenskart had a visionary team that foresaw most problems and acted quickly to speed up payments while plugging GST leakages . Hubler’s no-code platform enabled Lenskart to build the software they needed to solve their unique problems, very fast.
What are the plans and milestones for Hubler, including the integration of Gen AI, international expansion, and new software suites?
For now, the entire Hubler team is focused on two key initiatives.
The first is focused on growth. We are rapidly expanding in India with our ready-to-go Retail Software and Procure to Pay Software for Retail, eCommerce, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Warehousing verticals. Simultaneously, we are scaling internationally with our proven suite of software for Retail and Procurement.
The second is expanding Hubler’s capabilities. We are actively improving the overall User Experience on Hubler’s no code drag-and-drop app builder. Our planned AI integration will make app building on Hubler even faster, enabling our clients to go live with new software within one day.
