Veermaata Jijabai technology which is a Mumbai based engineering college has now revealed on Monday that its technology business incubator that will house Nvidia AI-enabled DGX system. The Analytics and AI data center system will help both startups and researchers.
Both on Nvidia Colta Graphics processing unit platform, the datacenter brings deep learning capabilities to the VJTI.
The extended technology support, now functional at the TBI, can be government, startups units, and research organizations.
In the year 2017, VJTI was granted a sanction under the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations Programme from the department of technology and science.
The grant was meant for the establishment of the TBI< which now houses the Nvidia deep learning system. The TBI is meant to foster innovation in cleantech, internet of things, energy, cybersecurity, and cloud computing within the startup ecosystem.
“This facility shall help start-ups working in the area of AI and deep learning to validate their algorithms and come-up with innovative solutions,” Faruk Kazi, project coordinator of VJTI-TBI, said. “VJTI-TBI is a domain-specific incubator where startups are provided with access to cutting-edge thrust-area laboratory facilities for product development and rapid prototyping. Together with Nvidia, we wish to create enabling infrastructure and emerge as a research hub for AI & deep learning.”
In the year 2018, Microsoft cloud division Azure revealed that collaborated with the Nvidia to power data analytics processes by harnessing the latter machine learning and Artificial Intelligence capabilities.
