With this strategic decision, our goal is not only to grow our projector & IFP business but to also provide a complete ecosystem of visual solutions, integrating both hardware and software.

Our hardware offerings include projectors, Interactive Flat Panels and All-in-one LEDs, while our software solutions, such as OMS and OSS, focus on enhancing the overall customer experience through cutting-edge technology.

What are the key strategies Optoma is implementing to drive growth in the Indian market?

Optoma’s growth in the Indian market is significant and the company is prioritizing local needs by focusing on diversifying its product portfolio to meet demand, which includes strengthening of lineup of Solid State Projectors, new models in Interactive Flat Panels and expansion into Managed Software for display devices.

The company has established strategic partnerships with local distributors, retailers and integrators. These collaborations will help Optoma expand its presence and reach more customers in different parts of India.

Optoma is vying for the top spot in the market. What challenges do you foresee and how do you plan to overcome them?

Optoma has a strong hold in the Indian market as it offers products equipped with cutting edge technologies, delivering crystal clear images with perfect brightness and colour precision. In the most price sensitive market like India, we are thriving to retain this top position by presenting quality products that are pocket friendly and offer unmatchable experience. Last year Optoma introduced Wave series, a mainstream affordable home entertainment laser projector series featuring the Wave 120SK, Wave 130Rk projectors. 

We have a strong and robust partner network that helps us to provide service, meeting queries of customers from remote locations too.  Last year witnessed robust sales of projectors and IFPs in India, with Optoma emerging as the leading brand in the 4K UHD projector category worldwide. In the Indian market specifically, Optoma successfully maintained its dominant position across various segments including 4K UHD, laser projectors, and laser TV projectors. Thanks to its exceptional performance in the home projector divisions, Optoma secured a significant market share in these segments. Optoma experienced an increase in its market share specifically in the 4K UHD category. In 2025 we will be focusing on making our existing partner network strong, building more associations alongside the beat challenges owing to vast geography, price sensitivity and competition.


4. What are your key priorities for retaining the position of market leader by 2025?

In 2025 our objective is to increase our market share in key categories of home entertainment, professional audio-visual (pro-AV), and the education sector. Demand for 4K resolution, laser projectors, and increased brightness for better performance in different lighting conditions are likely to be key priorities, as well as investments in integrating AI for improved user experience, including automatic picture quality adjustment and environmental awareness could be our major focus.

5. Could you share details about the new range of projectors being introduced for 2025?

At Optoma, we take pride in being a top projector brand, consistently introducing cutting-edge technology ahead of the competition. We have recently launched its first ever eco – friendly high-end pro AV projector Optoma ZK810T/TST. The newly launched projector is equipped with multiple features such as full motorized lens shift, virtual maintenance free operation, 8500 lumen 4K UHD DuraCore and dust resistance technology, that makes it a perfect fit for every kind of professional set up including auditorium, museum and education institution.

Optoma kick started 2025 with the launch of its latest home entertainment projector, a next generation 4k home entertainment projector UHC70LV to offer an unmatchable content viewing experience in both darkened as well as bright living spaces. Enhanced with an AI algorithm, this state-of-the-art product automatically achieves the ideal balance of light and dark by analysing the brightness levels of each frame. The newly launched projector produces unmatched depth and detail by producing darker blacks and brighter highlights in both SDR and HDR content. Each scene is brought to life with amazing realism, taking your visual experience to the next level.

Can you talk about any specific features or advancements in your new product line that stand out as game-changers?

Optoma consistently introduces modern products to meet the diverse demands of the market. Optoma’s dura core laser technology projectors are providing marvellous immersive experience; It is perfect for both professional and home setting. The Laser Optoma Duracore projectors are designed to offer exceptional and realistic images up to 30,000 hours (ECO mode) or 20,000 hours (light mode) while maintaining coherent brightness levels.

An optical motor with dust with IP5X or IP6X certification provides higher reliability with practically zero maintenance for a total cost of lower possession. Lasers maintain consistent brightness and colour rendering over their entire lifespan without the declining it that occurs with lamps.

What role does technology play in transforming image viewing experience?

Ans: AI and automation technologies are expected to have a major impact on the projector industry in 2025. AI-based solutions can streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product content and audio-visual experiences. We expect to see a surge in demand for AI-enabled IFP panels in the near future, starting from the second half of this year.

Such panels are poised to revolutionize learning by providing innovative tools that will reshape the educational paradigm. As a renowned supplier of advanced products, we are gearing up to start producing our own high-tech IFP panels and home entertainment projectors in the near future.
