A pioneering move in the agritech sector has been unveiled as Otipy, a startup specializing in farm-fresh produce, joins forces with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to bring fruits and vegetables directly from farms to homes in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.

Otipy teaming up with ONDC is a big step forward. This partnership allows people to conveniently find and purchase their products by using various apps. It makes getting fresh food simple as the platform enables smoother purchasing across multiple platforms.

Otipy wants to attract more customers by using popular ONDC seller apps including Pincode and Paytm.

Also, Otipy promises to buy a lot directly from farmers and groups of farmers, showing they really want to help local farming communities.

Varun Khurana, the Founder and CEO of Otipy, is excited about working together. He mentions that joining the ONDC Network helps them in reaching to a wider customer base. The aim is to broaden buyer options as well as improve the overall shopping experience through this network.

T Koshy, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of ONDC, highlighted the mutual advantages of the partnership. He stated that by having Otipy in their network makes them get access to a wide audience and simultaneously also shows its dedication to fostering a sustainable and inclusive e-commerce system.

Koshy emphasized the importance of the collaboration, mentioning that offering a direct-to-consumer catalog with fresh produce will give customers more options while supporting direct buying from farmers and FPOs.

Operated by Crofarm Agriproducts, Otipy was introduced in 2020 with a mission to minimize fresh produce waste by ensuring prompt delivery of agricultural products from farms to homes within 12 hours.
