During the event, Prof Madhumati Goel, a retired faculty member of KGMU, stressed the importance of not resisting change but instead adapting to new technologies in response to evolving needs. The address emphasized that pathologists should be careful when using AI tools in their work to make sure patients get the best results.

Dr. Bandana Mehrotra, who also spoke on the occasion, said that more doctors used digital pathology a lot during Covid-19. Digital pathology let them report from home, which was important when people could not meet in person. It was helpful because it gave flexibility when face-to-face meetings were not possible.

Dr. US Singh, who leads the Pathology Department, talked about new things happening there. They have new, really good labs and various tests done at a high standard. He said that the department is dedicated to come up with more new ideas, engage in further research as well as keep up with high-quality education.

As pathology gets better, experts at KGMU say we should be careful with AI. The team wants to be smart about using the new and evolving technology to help patients, making sure it is good for them. The department is dedicated to doing really good research and coming up with new ideas to help doctors and everyone in society as well.
