  1. Unbelievable growth in Cloud Services Solutions

The businesses and individual consumers alike will try to access early cloud services as Software as a Service (SaaS) has become more flexible and financially attractive. The number of cloud solutions available in the market today has also increased because the infrastructure and platform as a service (Iaas and PasS) have expanded. 2018 will expect to see more organizations taking advantage of the simple yet high performing cloud-based services. According to a survey by Cisco, in 2018 60% of all cloud-based workloads will be accounted by SaaS, an increase of 12% over 2017. PaaS and IaaS solutions will also increase by 5%. Businesses who want to simplify their operations and want their customers to access services better will surely move toward integrated SaaS, IaaS and/or PaaS into their business process.

  1. Cloud Storage Capacity is going to increase

Data storage capacity is definitely going to increase at least two times in 2018 as cloud services are becoming de facto for any business. Cisco survey estimated that in 2017, the total amount of data stored in cloud-based data centers would be 370 EB, while global data storage capacity would be around 600 EB. These are set to increase to an estimated capacity of 1.1 ZB, which is approximately twice than 2017.

Big businesses are sure to take this opportunity to store more big data and analyze them to get insights into customer behavior, human systems, and strategic financial investments. On the other hand, small businesses would definitely love the options of having more storage space at a lower price.

  1. The Internet of Everything (IoE) will be the thing

In 2017, IoT and AI took the center stage in the tech community and people like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking warned about a dangerous future prospect controlled by AI. In 2018, according to the industry experts, IoT will continue to develop at its own pace, cloud computing will strive to push the Internet of Everything (IoE) to the fore. IoE will change the face of human communication in an Internet-enabled environment. It will rely on a machine to machine communications and data processes. Cloud computing will no doubt play a significant role in developing IoE into a complex system that aims to simplify all interactions. For us, it would mean to be able to interact intelligently with every device connected through a network.

  1. Enhancement in internet quality and 5G network

In 2018, along with the increase in the amount of data generated and stored, the connection speed and quality of internet are poised to get far better. We could expect a full 5G network capability for LTE in a record time. Enhanced quality of networks means the consumer can use responsive and fast loading apps. Business owners will be able to upgrade their SaaS, PaaS and website platforms more quickly. The IoT and IoE are going to profit from a faster network by allowing organizations to receive and deliver real-time data more efficiently.
