One of the largest web services platform, Netflix is now losing its top creative executive for India. Simran Sethi will now be going to be departing the streaming giant following a nearly two run. Some of the sources also revealed that Sethi, the Los Angeles based executives who mostly served as a creative director for the International originals, will be leaving the streamer rather than moving to India.
As of now, it is unclear when the Sethi last day with the Netflix will be. The streamer declined the comment.
At the time when she runs with the Netflix, Sethi was instrumental in getting the streamer Indian originals on its feet, which even grows its more rose from one show to another 20. After starting as a creative executive, Sethi rose to director of international originals and has also overscreened originals which includes the Ghoul, Delhi Crime, Sacred Games, Typewriter, Baahubalii, and selection day Leila.
Sethi joined the Netflix in the year 2017 when she departed her role as a Senior Vice President scripted originals at Freeform. It is as of now also unclear what the executives who have had roles at broadcast networks(NBC), production companies, studios(Sony Pictures TV) – will do next.
India as of now is key growth region for the Netflix, which as of now views around 1.3 billion residents as a prime target of its continued global expansion. Some of the sources also revealed that bringing an executive to Indian to oversee the day to day was a top priority for the streamer.
