Its flagship products — Karban Airzone— is sold on its website as well as popular e-commerce portals. The startup has leveraged Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the airflow devices. This unique design helps reduce electricity consumption, and provide multi-utility of air-flow, air-purification, and lighting for homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, among others.
Kushal Bhagia, founder, All In Capital, said, “While India witnesses a splurging demand for Air Purifiers, a separate unit plugged in one corner of the room is inefficient and Air Purification solutions have seen little innovation. Karban’s Airzone is the 2024 alternative to existing Air Purifiers and ceiling fans both. It is a 3-in-1 Air Purification solution which integrates a ceiling light and a ceiling fan offering consumers an amazing value proposition. Being design-forward, the Airzone is poised to blend seamlessly into the next generation of home interiors.”
Rainmatter Capital team, At Rainmatter, one of the things we’ve noticed is the phenomenal improvement in the quality of products designed and built in India, and Karban is no exception to that. They offer a purifier, fan and light within the same device, which naturally reduces material footprint. And in addition to the energy efficiency of the device, there is significant saving of power at scale. India needs more of these solutions making it possible for everyone to contribute in being energy efficient and sustainable.
Bipin Shah, Partner Titan Capital, said “We are thrilled to announce our investment in Karban which is a true example of supporting Make in India. However, there are only a few appliances in the market that are smart, aesthetically pleasing, energy efficient as well as sustainable. Karban is bridging this gap by building products that uphold four foundational values: Design, Technology, Energy Efficiency, and Sustainability. At the same time the startup is contributing to the local economy by prioritising local manufacturing.
While Mr Bansal holds a mechanical engineering degree from IIT Guwahati and a masters degree in aeronautics and astronautics from Purdue University, Indiana, US. Ms Goyal is a lawyer with an avid interest in research and brand build. Together they are building KARBAN to launch innovative products that have low environmental impact and are energy efficient.
