SRI Capital backs camera technology startup DreamVu

DreamVu, a Silicon Valley and Hyderabad based camera startup has now raised an undisclosed amount of fund from the early based venture capital firm SRI capital according to the report which has been revealed.

The new funds will be going to be used to strengthen its product and take it to the market.

DreamVu was founded by the IIIT Hyderabad Alumni Rajat Aggarwal and Rohan Bhatial in the year 2017. The startups offer with an Omni-stereo camera software and hardware platform which simply unifying both the machine and human vision.

The technology enables the platform to produce the high-quality images which can be used to provide with the augmented navigation capabilities to the autonomous robots.

The startup solution can be used across a wide range of industries like the drones, VR/AR camera, Robotics, autonomous vehicles, and Healthtech.

Talking about the investment, Jay Krishnan, Partner at SRI Capital, said, “SRI Capital is committed to backing startups with IP in areas that form the frontiers of new technologies. We were thrilled to see DreamVu’s solution with an optics- first approach that allows sensors and optics to disrupt value chains long powered by electronics and software. DreamVu is well positioned to transform the autonomous guided space with its product- portfolio and stellar backing through its advisers, investors and the operating team.“

SRI capital, which has its offices based out of US and India invests across the domains like deep tech, consumer tech and enterprise software in both the US and Indian market. It makes the early stage investment with the tickets sizes ranging from the $500000 to $3000000.
